Virginia sales tax increase

First off, let me say "hi" to the board, I've been with this site since '97 even though I'm listed as a "junior" - haven't been able to contribute much, and had to change service providers a few times.
Thanks for all the contributions folks, I'm learning a lot about my truck and the people that enjoy driving them!
I was on the phone with Anita Troyer on friday, buying a EFK for my truck when she happened to mention the sales tax is going up Sept 1st. I figured I'd send a quick reminder to those people who where getting ready to buy stuff from Va, there's only a few days left before the rate goes up.

Here's the link: http://www.tax.state.va.us/site.cfm?...TaxChanges2004

"The state sales and use tax rate on sales of non-food items increases from 3.5% to 4%, effective September 1, 2004. This change will result in a combined state and local tax rate of 5%. The new tax rate for vending machine sales will be 6%. "
