Welcome and don't mind that guy named dzervit, he is like the annoying little dog that is always trying to hump your leg (you have been too quiet today I need to draw you out inot the open and I'm out of nanners). Actually he is a good guy and fun to mess with. Its a good group here, especially if you want to talk politics as well as Ford trucks! Enjoy.

Time to try to sneak up on Tuff and hump his leg...

I hope that lightning finds its way to you. That's how i got my truck, i had an obsession with it after seeing one on a television
commercial, and walking into the dealer to check one out up close.
I couldn't get it out of my mind so i had to just buy one..

good luck with the obsession and welcome to the fordboard of
an uncanny cast of characters..

Thanks for the welcome guys. Tuff Ford must say i was very amused to hear about popping the baloon over the fat woman lol.

F150's are very rare over here, and prices tend to be inflated as its american vehicle.

Actually mate, prices are inflated due to the import taxes.
Dealers make a good mark up but I'll sell you my 98 Lariat and give you an excellent deal.
Full MOT and SVA. All VAT paid. Lots of road tax etc. In AutoTrader (East Anglia) this Friday.
It's over in Norfolk near Gt Yarmouth. Only selling it so I can buy another one when I go back to Houston next month.

What new f150 are you getting?

Im only after a svt lightning, but wont be for a long time yet.

How much does it cost to import over?

Are you arranging it yourself or are you getting an import company to do it?

Didn't you end up doing the horizontal mombo with her anyway this past weekend?!

Dig out her company photo, just like:

Meow.

Don't know what I'll get yet. Depends on how much money I have.
I would like a 03 Harley if possible.

Importation to the UK costs.............

Vehicle price in USA + shipping (£1400) last year
(Don't try for an undervalued receipt unless you want Customs and Excise on your case for evermore. They know what a truck is worth)

Then add 22% of that for import tax

Then add 17.5% VAT to that total

Then add Transportation of truck from docks (Usually Southampton) to your house (prolly £400 on a transporter to Manchester)

Then add conversion of lights to make it UK legal (cost depends on whether you are good at auto electrics or farm the work out)

Then add SVA test (£90)

Then add MOT (£27.50) for class 7

Then add registration fee (£30)

Then buy Road Tax (£150 for year)

Then buy 2 new number plates (Tenner)

Then fill tank with 100 litres of unleaded (£85 ish)

Then cruise to your hearts content

I imported my Lariat myself last year and will probably do the same again.

(for dollar prices, multiply by 1.8)

Lee thats the UK for you rip off country. Government taxes the hell out of anything. You know it costs $9 for a pack of 20 cigs. Its crazy and petrol is around $1.43 a litre.
