other Ford vehicles...

I HATE to admit it, but I'm I'm living in Seattle (downtown) and I can't keep my 1997 longbed 4x4 F150.
I'm looking at buying a smaller (cheap) commuter vehicle.
I have a Husky and always seem to be hauling soemthing, any suggestions on a good used beater?
I was thinking a 4 cylinder Ranger or maybe some type of wagon.

Don't worry, my truck is going to rest in AZ with my father, I'm not selling it.

You could look at an Escape.

Yup... Fatty's right. Escape is a sweet little vehicle with nearly the same interior room as the larger and much more pricey Explorer. Plus, you can go Hybrid for '05 and save a butt load in gas money.

back in june i found a '93 4banger pimpo umm i mean tempo for 200 bucks to run back and fourth to work ya know to keep some miles off my truck and it cut my gas usage in half. if your lookin to go that route im sure you can find an early 90's escort wagon or something and keep your truck as a pleasure vehicle (by doing that my insurance went down 200 bucks every 6 months)

You could get an early to mid 90's V6 ranger. The 3.0 will get decent mileage, and the 4.0's run pretty strong if its a 2wd reg cab.
