I bought my Lightning off Ebay, sold 2 Corvettes, 2 quads, and a bunch of car parts. I guess I did more selling than buying. Never had a problem with any transaction.

 

I have only done two or three transactions on Ebay, all satisfactory. After hearing horror stories, I picked up another credit card. One that I use just for mailorder and ebay purchases. It has a rather low credit limit. If something goes amiss with a transaction, I have no problems with reporting the credit risk, dealing with the credit card issuer, etc. without using the card for any other transactions. Of course the bottom line is I can cancel the card without remorse at a moments notice without throwing the entire family into financial chaos because the card they are using is no longer valid.

 

about a year ago, i was looking for an old steave earle release. went to a few record shops, poked around online and could not find it anywhere.

tried to order it from a local shop and they coulndt get it. a friend suggested giving ebay a shot. i did, found it in minutes, and it was at my door in less than a week. it looked new, and i payed half of what i would have expected elsewhere.

that is the only time i have ever used ebay, but it was a beautiful thing.
