Tracphone
The one thing that turned me off to it (this was about 2 years ago so it may be different now) was that even if you had enough minutes you had to buy at least 10 more every so often just to keep your number active. If you didn't you could get more and still have your old ones but you had to get a new number.
I've had mine about a year and a half. It's probably not for a user that spends a lot of time talking. I use mine mostly as an emergency phone and usually can get by on a couple three hundred minutes a year. I usually buy the one year card and that is good enough most of the time. My tracfone costs me about half what my cell carrier charged me annually.
I use a tracfone for emergency or for a short call. I have no use for one on a regular basis as a matter of fact i hate f in people that... don't get me started..... 
If your looking for something to use all the time don't even get a tracfone the cost will kill you. If you want it for situations its a great deal, you have to buy minutes every 90 days and carry over your unused ones. I am on my 2nd now, first one was thrown overboard due to wife calling me while fishing in the middle of nowhere for no reason.
