I've seen other forums with this, but usually its only a few guys that have the skills and software to do cool stuff.. might as well just post it in general. I think there is about 5 guys here that have mad photo-skills.

YOU being one. (check the sig folks)

I'd love to get one of those threads hooked up.

A forum....doughtful.

DZervIt could host projects, or contests. Example:

Where is this guy going?
Using layers, you could remove the "image" in the windshield and make it look like hes driving on the moon.

Know what I mean, or am I rambling, because I am ready to go home?

You mean like this?

I mean, yeah, I guess you could do that, but what would the point be?

All kidding aside, I use to be on a different forum (for something other than the lightning) and we had a forum dedicated to photoshop alterations...
it got nasty...people asking you to do this or that to a car, after a while people got demanding and if you did something they were not fond of or if it didn't look like what they expected/imagined it to look like they would get insulting...so it's just not worth it.

I've already seen it here on the lightning forum in the past...hey, can you put these wheels on my L...not that looks awful, here at 9 other wheels, put those on...as if it were an order...and no thank yous...nothing but insults.

I'm not saying that's always the case, but I find that many times people tend to take advantage of what's offered to them which spoils it for everyone.

I will only composite when I feel like it and for no other than my own enjoyment. It's best kept not as a specific forum, which...if past incidents are any indication, inevitably turns ugly, but wherever it may happen in the general discussion or specific forums (like happens in the lightning forum).

IMHO

Learning tool.

DZervIt got slammed with requests to make a signatures. I being one of them. He does really good work. Not everyone has the "know how". I know I dont. I mean I try, I just dont know all the "tricks".

Know what I mean?

kobiashi - nice! I completely understand what your sayin'. I like doing a little work here and there for folks. Jamz is a freeloader, at least Tuff sent me some Hula Girls (cigars)! Just f'in with you Jamz.

I think the forum (if there was one) would have to have a mod and rules (duh). No requests or flames for work, etc... I like the idea of the 'PS contests' where several images are given and you have to combine them all to make one funny-**** photo. Or a photo and best mods to the vehicle or image win the 'PS of the week' award... I dunno. Silly things like that would be entertaining and interesting to see what other folks come up with.

But then again, a sticky could do all that. HEY MODS! We need a poll "How many folks can edit pics?" Or "How good are you at editing photos? A. I rule B. I'm not too shabby C. I know how to open paint D. You can edit photos?!

Pfft. I could do that with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back

Heh j/k. Looks good man. I like it better than the old one. The old one was just that-old, plus the new one shows better PS skills IMO

Time for 'Ol Bartak to create a new sig.

I am gonna try to make a new one for myself tonight when I get home. I dont want anyone making fun of me though. I know I suck at PS, so I wont even BEGIN to talk smack

Yeah, the new one did take more effort, but still well under an hour. One of these days I'll apply myself and see what I can do. The hardest part is visualizing the design, color coordination, etc... the actual PS work is a snap. I could whip up a sig with my feet if I had too...

Thanks for the props guys.. I feel so special!
