Enjoy the volunteer work as a local firefighter. Thats what I should have done, the retirement package is way better.

But I enjoy what I do, even though my career is not as glamourous as Rockpick's

im 19 im a customer service rep for Cole Enterprises..we sell and make custom made aquariums and bubblers.

41 years old here. Funny, but I dont feel old Anyhooo, I'm Cheif Engineer at a local university where I've been for the last 16 years. But I've done more jobs than I can type before that. The pay is OK but I live with my wife & 3 girls so the more I make .................... well, you all know. The mods I could've gotten with that moneey I p!$$ed away on their braces.

Am I too young to be obsessed with retirement???

 

You can never be too young to be obsessed with retirement. Do it while you can enjoy life, not when you can only sit in Depends at an assisted living center. I found you don't need lots of money to retire if you are willing to live carefully on a budget. You really don't have to travel all over the country or the world, and drive fancy cars, trucks, etc. to enjoy retirement. Health and life around you is it's own reward.
