The funny thing is, two of those were taken in Georgia! We had the 2nd car insured. The guy was shooting a commercial at Road Atlanta (popular local race track) and "Lost control". Claims he was going 55 mph. Sumbich slid for about 120 feet sideways before hitting the wall.
The Cat was about 6 miles from my house. It was stuck for about 2 weeks until it finally dried out and they were able to dig it out.
Tuff Ford:
1. It's a Swedish Ad, they are all gearheads.
2. I lived there for two years and worked for Swedish companies for 25 years and they are all gearheads.
3. This was a cooperative effort between Volvo and one of the Swedish Research firms/schools that demonstrated, in my words, how you can remotely and mechanically make anything happen.
4. I would imagine they had some sort of RC type radio hookup to the car's computer that allowed them to "park" the car
5. As a side note to this type of thing, one of my former employees has recently gone into a one man business providing Atlanta area Police Departments with remote controlled small scale Tamiya tanks fitted with video cameras to help the local Swat Teams do recon on crimes or suspected crimes committed in buildings. Some two years ago, one of his rigs determined that a suspect in an apartment was already dead The tank, which is about 18 inches long, was able to traverse the entire apartment and transmit images to the good guys sitting in a van outside.
6. I haven't kept an exact count but I think this former employee has probably purchased 4 or 5 of these very expensive tanks.
7. I have also read recently that some other PD is using a hobby RC helicopter to help their Swat teams maintain a watch on hostage type situations.
Just some additional info on the Parking thing.

2. I saved it to my desk top and tried to add it to my gallery, no worky.
3. I can't find it anywhere on the internet.
4. I checked the questions about this site thing and didn't find anything.
