Sniper shot by my house.....

I was coming home Thursday after work when I turned on my road , a 2 lane which dead ends in 5 miles. There is only one way in and one way out.

There was were 6 police cars, 2 Fire trucks and 3 electric company trucks. Someone had slammed a power pole. This has happened before but the odd thing was the amount of police cars. I didn't think too much about it then.

Yesterday my wife and I decided to go to the movies. On the way out we saw 4 police cars with lights and sirens heading toward our area. We thought it was some stupid motorcycle rider got into an accident. Happens frequently around here.

When we came back there were 8 news vans from four different stations and at least 20 polices cars, no exageration. A couple of police helicopters flying around as well.

It seems this guy had shot one worker at a green recycling plant one canyon over from ours. When the police and ambulance responded he shot at the ambulance. No one was hit but then he shot one of the cops. He survived. He went on the run and they found him in our area a couple hours later.

He had a shoot out with the police on the ground. No one was shot and he escaped again. One of the helicopters spotted him and tried going after him. He shot the helicopter and hit the pilot in leg. The pilot pulled back and then picked up some sharp shooters. They spent another half hour looking for the guy. Then when they made contact the sharpshooter did his job and nailed the guy.

A quote from the Sherrif " I am glad these guys can shoot as good as they say they can." Amen to that.

So to get back to the first part , I think the police knew someone was shooting on Thursday but we never heard anything about it. Maybe they thought it was drive by shooting then. There have been a few people now saying they were shot at too. Probably just to get on TV. I don't know but it kinda pisses me off when I think about it.

Well nice jump. I don't think motorcycle riders are stupid but there is an over abundance of stupid people riding motorcycles around here.

You know the ones that pass you on a 2 lane road blind corner going 100 mph + on the wrong side of the yellow line. Those are the ones. It happens every weekend. I live in a hilly area where people just love the twisty road.

I apologize for your mis-interpretation.
