a sad day
a sad day
Today we lost one of the absolute greats of the music world.
Ray Charles was a musical genius and rose from the lowest depths of poverty to bring joy and wonderful sounds from many genres to music lovers the world over. The lack of sight never slowed him down or caused self pity. He did the best with what he had and his best was truly incredible.
I consider myself very lucky to have had the privilege of seeing and hearing him in person.
Ray Charles, your greatness is exceeded only by your brilliance and I salute you
You may be gone from this mortal world, but, your music will live on and inspire others forever.

I fear that with all the other stuff going on this week that he will not get the recognition he so justly deserves.

You can't take anything away from Ray Charles' contribution to the musical world, high or not. The ex-President was someone to be admired, yes, but Ray Charles was a musical genius.

Ray Charles was a drug addict that admitted he wrote his best music when he was high on drugs. Now the Gipper dying, that's someone that should be admired.
