Grrr! The French!!
Well, from that answer I would guess our arrogant attitude hasn't pissed off enough people so why not try to plant the seeds of hard feelings with the British and the Canadians. This way we'll always have someone mad at us.
The ONLY reason we allow France to survive is to bring amusement to the rest of the world, everybody needs a good laugh from time to time and France provides that laugh for the world.
Fact is if it wasn’t for America there would be no France, we allow France to exist and when the entertainment value is gone, well I feel sorry for France…
Other then that there is absolutely NOTHING France is good for…

01 XLT Sport, Tell us how you really feel.
I agree with thet comment made earlier, "What have you done for us lately." We might not always take the best approach to all things but we do more good than bad. France is like an Ex-girlfriend jealous of all the fun you're having without her.

ok, I'm gonna steal that one.
I found a few american flags on that site. They weren't plastered everywhere, but neither was any other that I could see. I didn't read the linking article however.
As far as the French, I think they suffer from what a lot of countries around the world do. They can't stand that the US has it better and that we take pride in that. I'm not saying that the US is better at everything, but as a big picture is pretty darn nice here.
I think the youth everywhere are being blinded by idealism that is being taught to them. I think they'll either come around and make an effort to understand what reality is (like I did) or it'll all blow up in an orgasmic fest of self reitiousness ending in another major world war. How do you think Germany was able to do it in WWII? Hitler sure as heck didn't do that on his own. Anyway, I don't blame France, just the idealism that festers there (ex: Micheal Moore). It'll be interesting to see how global communications plays into it all. I think it'll be a good thing.
To all you parents out there, please stick to your kids like glue and don't let em just believe what they are told.
Hey is this a good time for a couple of sites of interest?

In order for America to liberate France from the *****, there would have to be an America.
The facts would indicate July 4th wouldn't be a National holiday without French involvement.
More than likely, Washington, Jefferson and Franklin would have rotted away in British prisons if their lives had been spared.
Not to say we would not have achieved independence in a later attempt, maybe the 1820s or 1840s but our map would look quite different and at the very least we would have different faces on our money.

I have to admit that the French can be a pain in the a$$ at times but not all of them are ungrateful. If you ever get a chance to visit Colleville-Sur-Mer (the American Cemetery in Normandy) you can see just how grateful some of them still are. The French keep that place immaculate. Last time I was there I saw some of the gardeners out hand scrubbing the crosses that mark each grave. I would go so far as to say that the American cemetery is better cared for than the Palace at Versallies. While I was in the visitor center a WWII vet arrived who had actually fought on Omaha beach, the lady who was working the information desk nearly kissed his feet as soon as she realized what he was. I was amazed at how well the people in that area treated me just because I was an American.

With all the anti-American protests in France, no one has ever vandalized an American WW11 cemetary. They keep it as clean and nice as it could be.
That said, I frankly do not care what they think about US foriegn policy.

"Ladies in a singles bar" analogy to International character...
Personally I think that the French are like a skanky 45 year old chick that dresses up and acts like she is 21 and hangs out at all the younger bars and tries to act like she belongs there. She gets upset and does not understand why everyone ignores her and laughs when she tries to make a move. She still thinks she is hot stuff but she is just really fooling herself, her time passed a long time ago. She is also hypocritical, she insults and looks down on the hot chicks who belong in that bar for what they do even when she knows its what she used to do and still tries to. It makes her mad that the younger chicks look better than she does and quite frankly ever did. She is just old, bitter, out of touch and deluded into thinking that she is relevant to those she is trying to hang out with.
The British are the classy older woman who knows how old she is, still looks good and knows she can go home with anyone who appreciates class and experience. She is still relevant b/c she does not try and fool anyone into thinking she is 21, she knows how to look as good at 45 as the other girls look at 21.
The Germans are the crazy chick that everyone knows about and avoids b/c they know she just ain't right and has weird unpredictable mood swings. Everyone except the French, who have a weird love/ hate thing going on and don't care how crazy she is b/c no one else will go near them.
Americans, well we are obviously the hot, classy, smart young chick that most of the others are jealous of b/c she is everyhting they want to be but are not or can't. They make fun of her and tell, lies about her b/c they resent her for being everything that everyone wants. They start rumors about how she isn't as great as they say and try and sabotage her b/c it makes them mad b/c she suceeds with little effort where they fail. she just realizes that most of them are not worth her time.
Just a wild analogy that popped into my head.

I did get a good laugh out of writing it though.
