Gas savings for the L - new mod
With prices for premuim well over $2/gal, I finally resorted to a mean by which to save on gas with the Lightning:

BEHOLD THE MINIVAN!
Well, at least I'm a Ford family... Picked it up for a song - 1997 Windstar, $2800
I'm gonna see if Sal can tune this thing for even better gas mileage and also tweak it to help it last as long as possible (less slip in tranny, etc...) I'm pretty sure he can tune almost any newer model Ford?
Anyhoos - What is everyone else doing to save on gas? $60-70/week in gas is KILLING ME!

I took 2 weeks vacation/training in which the Lightning didn't move while in California =)
I'll also be car pooling in the 25 MPG car and driving the 12 MPG truck only 1 day a week to work.

So you paid $2800 to save money? Jeez, you sound just like my wife.
At $2 per gallon that's 1400 gallons of fuel you could have bought.
1400 x 12mpg = 16800 miles of L style motoring.
Or if you are saving $60 per week, thats 46 weeks to get your money back. Did you account for the fuel for the Windstar (and future mods) in your calculations?
