OK, I'm back in Juneau and the prices are much better here. Paid $2.16 for regular unleaded today. Cordova prices reflect the fact that it is a small, isolated community (no roads in) and they have only one gas station. Good thing there is only one highway in town and its only 48 miles long (13 of those miles are even paved!!). No place to go to waste all that precious gas! I've heard reports that some of the smaller isolated towns are paying up to $5.00 a gallon for gas these days. The pipeline may be here but the oil takes a round about trip to get to our pumps
