Exclamation Speech Class Help

I have a persuasive speech to to next Thursday, its also our final exam. I sort of need some ideas. I cant sell a product, only an idea. Any good ideas are greatly appreciated. Here are some examples, I dont really like 'em though. Thanks, Justin.

Why not try to sell the idea that drag racing should be kept at the track not the street. I just did a speech last semester on it (could have been on any topic & in any format). How long does your's have to be? Mine was supposed to be 8-10 minutes but I cut it a little too short after seeing others get cut off for running long.

It has to be between 4 1/2 and 5 minutes.

How about;

*If you are in an accident and found not to be wearing your seatbelt. your insurance company shouldn't pay your medical bills.
or
*Let's drill for oil in Alaska and off the California coast...NOW.
or
*My insurance should cost me less than yours because I drive a big truck and you drive a Hundai.
or
*Paper or plastic? Defend paper bags from the paper company's perspective.
or
*Why buy a Japanese vehicle, even if it's made in the States, when the profits go overseas?

I don't know if I'm on you wavelength, or not.

I CLEPPED speech, made me very happy.

After taking a written test they put me in a small room with a sheet of paper and a tape recorder. They gave me a subject which was something like taking a stance on free health care for low income people. I had 10 minutes to develop an outline either supporting or not. My audience would be to college students. After the 10 minutes were up, they turned the tape recorder on - I had to use my outline to speak for 4-5 minutes, nothing more, nothing less. No one else in the room. Then the tape was sent out to a college for grading.

It was pretty easy (I guess all the military training in the subject didn't hurt) Saved myself about eight weeks of work...

JT,

Who supplied all the topics, looks like a Liberal wish list. No liberal teaching at that school.

Sled...

I found my freakin topic

My search on yahoo for persuasive speech topics came up with that website. I decided to do my speech on persuading my class to become a vegetarian. I only picked that topic because I found alot of info on it. I will never become a vegetarian, ever!! Mmm, steak and ribs for memorial day cookout. Thanks for the ideas though.
