New scam?

In the last 2 months we have been charged for an extra drink 4 different times on our ticket. It was at 3 different restaurants, so I'm wondering if this is some new scam that's going around.

I talked to the manager of the restaurant it happened at today, and he said at their restaurant, for the server to change a ticket after it has been printed requires a manager's authorization. But he admitted the servers know that the managers don't always even read the screen when they're really busy.

What do you think?

Pretty common actually, so check your tickets. The Secret Service has been conducting investigations in the Atlanta area restaurants lately.

Why would they look into it?

If it works the way I think, they just take off the drink, after you pay, and that money goes to them as more tips.
