Check your Core Support!
I'm double posting this info over here because it gets more views than the "other body" forum.
Just an FYI.
Get under your truck and look at your core support right at the point where the front most body mount is. You will have to pull back the black plastic inner fender to see it good.
Look for rust! My 99 was so rotted out, there hardly was anything left for the body mount to mount to!! Turns out that this is a very common problem on all ford full size vehicles.
Ford has a 5 year warranty on rust with no mileage limitations. Luckily I was two months shy of 5 years, so ford replaced the core support and part of the inner wheel well area free of charge.
THis will NOT be an easy fix to do on your own time or on your own dollar. THe value of the repair was well over $1200 but like I said was covered under warranty.
I would highly advise some rust treatment at the bottom of your core support even if yours isn't rusted out yet, because it will. So far I have looked at 6 different f-150s/expys and everyone of them had some form of rot at this location. Some more severe then others, but still.
