do you think this truck is ugly?
I think the only thing uglier than a Nissan Titan is a troll, like the kind that lives under a bridge or the kind that lurks around F-150 boards and make up funny posts about "Ferds and turnton 5.4s". Boy maybe if I'm bored I'll go over to Titantalk and make fun of the guys who own Titans and just want to talk about them in peace with other Titan owners on their own damn board... Oh wait then I would be "that guy", no thanks.
Now I admit, if I had an accident and I was bleeding or my guts was hanging out and the only way I could get to the hospital was to ride in a Titan then I would...
under one condition...
the driver would have to give up the bag he wears on his head and let me wear it.

It ain't the prettiest truck on the road, but I wish Ford would take a clue from Nissan and put some more power in the '04 F150. Car & Driver recently compared all the 1/2 ton trucks, and the Nissan kicked the other's butt. The Dodge (yes, with the Hemi) came in second, but the Ford got it's rear handed to it. From memory, the Nissan was 0-60 in 7.6, and the Ford did 0-60 in 9.3. I think the Ford is the best looking, but jeeze, find some power.
ford focused on what trucks are meant for, work/towing. i bet if you get nissan and dodge out pulling a trailer, ford is gonna kick some ***. dodge is really only good for a little more speed. im not sure how nissan does on towing but they focused more on power and speed, so im guessing it wont come near ford. i know if i was buying a truck, i wouldnt go for whats fast or what can spin the tires the most, im gonna go for what i can work the hell out of and it will take it.
1/2 tons are trucks! If you want great 1/4 mile times get a quick car. This is ridiculous! We might as well take our snowblowers out to the strip:
"Dude I can pull a 12 minute run on my Toro as long as its cool and not too humid. With bolt on mods and shaved knobby tires, I'll get that down 11 minutes and 30 seconds"
"My stock Husky will take you! I run an 11 flat, right off the hardware store floor!"
I'm really glad the Titan can accelerate so quickly. I'm sure it handles just fine too. But put a pallet of block in the back and lets see how it handles and accelerates. Oh - wait. I'm sorry you can't. It only has a payload of 1400 lbs. If Nissan made this truck more robust like the domestics, they would have a contender. But people who buy trucks to move things will look elsewhere. This truck is only good for Harry Homeowner who has a little fishing boat and wants to cart the family around.

I'm willing to bet 1/2 of all pickup buyers don't pull a trailer more the 3 times a year, and less than 1/2 ever fill the bed to capacity. Ford clearly targeted the non-work truck drivers with the '04. In fact, the Lariat is the best selling in the lineup. So that's why I maintain that Ford missed the boat on power. In fact, the '04 is 500lbs more than the '03, without much of a bump in power.
Don't get me wrong, I bleed blue oval. And I'm kinda glad it's a pig, otherwise I'd be tempted to spend some money
But there's no such thing as too much power...

IMO, the truck in the pic actually looks pretty good, BUT, the truck in real life looks awful.
You can clearly see they had to take the pic in the dark, and turn the running lights on, also if im not mistaken, they have one of those type lens that make it alittle bit fuzzy, like the ones they use on some hollyood starlites to hide their age.

and as for the person that stated most half ton buyers only tow a couple times a year, i guess i am not the norm. i recently used this truck to tow a friends 1200hp DragRadial car down to houston for FunFordweekend. LMAO, the funny thing is, every person who checked the truck out down there loved it. the car , the trailer, and all of the equip. weighed in close to 6,000 lbs. the truck did not complain once. the only other trucks i considered over the titan was an F150( just did not feel right to me ) and a dodge 3/4 diesal (but this is my wives daily, and she did not want a deisal )
to everyone who thinks it looks nice, thank you. to everyone else, to each his own.
For the person who didn't like the honest answers that everyone posted, if it bothers you so much, don't read the replies, if you want good reviews on the Titan, I believe the Titan site is down the hall to the left. Seems there is too many of us "trolls" in here for you anyway.
