Whats up guys, I was wondering if yall could give me a little Harley Supercrew education. Someone is trying to tell me that all 2002 & 2003 Harleys are supercharged. I have raced a few that I thought were newer models but couldnt have been supercharged because I beat them. I have messed with some with the supercharged badge and those things haul major ***.
Yes the 2002 and 2003 Harley Davidson’s do have Super Chargers and they put out 340hp / 435 lbs-ft of torque from a 5.4 motor.
If you beating them with your (either 4.7 with 235hp, or 5.9 with 250hp) you are beating something that has a badge on it without the motor. Though since you have a sport regular cab compared to the full cab Harley’s you might be able to hang with them some (due to being lighter then they are) but not going to come close to beating them bad.
The key give away if racing a “real” Harley Super Charged equipped Ford is you will hear the blower whine and there is no way to miss that sound…

You mis-understood my question. Do they all have superchargers or is it an option? My truck is quadcab with the 4.7 with a few mods and have taken what I thought to be n/a supercrews by 2-3 truck lengths to about 70.
He understood your question, you misunderstood his answer:
ALL 02 and 03 HD's have s/c's. If you are beating a truck with a HD badge, it is probably a truck that somebody has dressed up as a HD. The supercharger is not an option on HD's, it's standard equipment.

No it’s not an option it is standard equipment. Stock vs. stock the Ford would take you, but since I do not know what kind of mods you have and what your truck’s dyno numbers are then it may well be possible for you to beat one. In stock form you might barely hang with one if you lucky since your truck is much lighter then the Supercrew (mid-size vs. full size and a Supercrew at that).
Therefore since your running a modded truck vs. a most likely stock truck there is NO way to compare your truck to the Ford except in stock form and then you lose…

Thanks for the info on the Superchargers. Now I said I beat n/a supercrews. My truck is a four door also and has a smaller motor so I believe it is a fair comparison. What is a 1/4 mile time for a stock supercrew? And please dont turn this into a pissing contest between dodge and ford, I like both I am just asking questions. And in my original post when I said I messed with the ones that were badged, those kicked my *** royally.

I am not sure about the Supercharged Harley Supercrews. I would think mid to high 14’s. The Lightning’s on paper are suppose to be approx. 13.6 – 13.8 second ¼ but many with the 03/04 are getting around 13.1 – 13.4.
As far as a normal non-supercharged Supercrew I have no idea about ¼ time but would guesstimate somewhere in the 16’s to 17’s maybe even 18’s or 19’s but I really don’t know why anybody would buy a Supercrew for it’s ¼ time nor would most people driving them actually race someone and worry if they won or lose.

Curb weight on a quad cab dakota is around 4400 lbs. And as far as saying people in supercrews dont try to race people is ridiculous. I have had people in mini vans try to race. But once again, thanks for the info guys. You made me feel real welcome.
