I got laid up for about 3 weeks. I figured it'll be relaxing get to screw around for a while take a few drugs (for pain) and pretty much do nothing for 3 weeks. Man was I wrong I AM BORED, and it's only been 4 days. I am stuck in the house, can't even go fishing, nothing on TV and the computer is getting a little old. I think I hit the end of the internet twice. Man I wish I had dial up that way it would make the pages go slower and waste more time.

I tore cartledge in my ankle and had to have it cut out. If I had a normal desk type job I could be at work this week, but Noooo I had to get a physical job, so the Dr. won't release me for four weeks. I was able to get a 1 week school for the last week.

I feel for ya 1depd.
On April 7th, I tripped over a box that "I" had sat some place it shouldn't have been. (Not real proud of any of this which is why I confess only now )
Any way, the floor came up REAL fast and I stopped myself before I went face first.
Thing is, my right leg slid over and DOWN to break my Big Toe.
I had no idea it was broken, the only reason I went to the ER is cuz I couldn't get the Dang bleeding to stop. Doc says, yep, its broke.
Punishment? Recline foot up for 3 weeks, using 13 out of 14 sick days I had.
21 days of "I told you not to keep that box there"!
Now, I like to lay around, work on a Tan, But three days later, jeeeez, is all that is on is "The Love Boat???!! %$^%!!
How do you think I got "Senior" status last month!
Magazines, Pills, beer (or my fav, Rum n Coke) and all your friends right here will get you thru this!

Yeah, unfortunately this is using up all of my sick, vacation and comp time I had saved. So I won't have any when I have to go to the shrink from going nuts sitting around all day.

 

sorry to hear 'bout the ankle. look at the bright side, if you had that office job you'd be this bored every day.

I left a desk job to get back to the great outdoors and for the most part, (thanks to the "sunshine" state) I don't regret it.
And yes it's great to be back to work too buuuuuttt......
nothing has changed in my absence. Same ol' "I don't care what you did yesterday, you haven't done shi* today!"

Just look at it this way dep, house arrest will make you appreciate the great outdoors even more than you did before!

And it sucked to work Monday while you were home and dry btw.

WOOOOHOOO the jailkeeper (uh wife) is letting me go fishing Friday. My buddy's driving so she can't saay anything.
