Question Computer Question------>

I rented a 5x12 storage shed last week to keep all my stuff from college in during the summer so i dont have to make 3 trips dragging it all home. Question is, would leaving my Dell computer boxed up in this shed possibly cause hard to it? Im not sure if regular exposure to 90* temps would hurt any sensors, etc that the computer has.
Thanks!

The computer will be fine. Many components get hotter that the hottest ambiant temps when running, so just sitting there should be fine. The only thing I would think about would be moisture. If the storage is sealed well and will be dry, you'll be okay.

I would share the moisture concern. If the storage has a concrete floor, be sure not to place it on the floor. I used a storage building two years ago that was supposedly climate controlled. Any of the boxes that were on the concrete floor were soft from moisture in the three months they were there.

Just leaving your computer will result in damage. If you don't use your computer for extended periods of time, it will almost cripple the MoBo. How long will it be in the storage area? If over a month I wouldn't keep it there.

im movin all my stuff out this Thursday and it wont be out till the last week of August, when school opens up again. The shed is sealed and concrete floor, i was planning on packing the computer up in sealed Rubbermaid containers. I guess my best option is to drag it home.

Well, for one, I dont think I would leave it in there, not over the summer.

It gets much hotter than 90* in those storage rooms during the summer when the sun is out.

I would try to bring it home and put it in a corner.
