Question 10 million, Think it possible?

So old flipper (Kerry) was in Michigan preachin he will create 10 million new jobs in 4 years.

Nice campaign pledge but dont see it happening without some major tax increases to subsidise this proposal, or taxing the corporations that will just get passed down to us anyway. Either way I dont see old Kerry fullfilling this pledge without major cost. There again, he gives no details on how he plans to do this either.
If this boy wins, guess I better get used to what my new tax increase will be.

Sled...

I was reading somewhere that there currentyl aren't 10 million people to employ currently. In 5-10 years maybe. Then it would be like a %1 unemployment rate. Wishfull thinking. I see us going back to around %5 (wich is great) in the next few years. I don't think it'll average out much lower than that. I think during the late 90's it was about that. Like 4.8%.

I posted a bunch of statistics fromt he lobor dept. website a while back with links and such. Do a search on "unemployment" in the GD forum. If you want to see historical trend data and stuff.

The 10 million thing may happen by the end of this decade. If a bunch of new workers come in. With the exodus of the baby boomers I don't see it though.

What he is really saying is he wants to GROW the government. BIG government means a LOT of jobs…

To bad us hard working tax payers will pay for the jobs he would “try” to create.

BUT, we have nothing to worry about because Kerry has NO chance and NEVER will be President of the United States.

Kerry will be lucky if he is even able to run for President in November. Sources have it even many of his liberal buddies have a major problem with his “flip – flopping” and that is really saying something…

See you Kerry, who’s up next…

Never underestimate the power of bullsh*t. There are people who are willing to believe anything. That's the part that scares me.

Kerry can make any promises he wants. He will not be held responsible for anything he says unless (heaven help us) he is elected. As the challenger, he is in the enviable position of being able to mix 20-20 hindsight with caca del toro and create a 'platform' out of it. Even better for him, he's under no obligation to actually *perform*.

Hopefully, the majority of voters will recognize this and choose to vote for the guy who is actually dealing with the issues of the day. Thank you W.
