Computer Question

I just got a new mp3 player but I wanted to convert my mp3's to WMA's in order to get more on the player. Does anybody have a suggestion on what program to use in order to do this? The only ones I have found online I have to buy or i only get 10 free conversions.

Thanks,
Dave

Well, I dont know that converting to wma would really save you much space, but you can start here

I thought somebody said that WMA's take up less space, more like 1 MB per song instead of 3 like an mp3.

I guess if it would be the same size I could just cahnge some of my mp3's from 192kbps to 96 or so.

Regardless of format, you are going to lose sound quality. MP3 compression is about as efficient as you can get, similar to JPEG for pictures. It scales well too. Most people can deal with 128khz sampling instead of 196khz, which will cut the size of you files down to 2/3 of what they are now.
