Have you bothered to try any of the suggestions posted? They are both good. Have you looked at anything? A little more information would help us help you. Go outside and open the hood, take a look, does everything seem OK? Next, pull the plug wires, look for moisture or signs of past moisture. Is that OK? Have codes pulled, preferably when it's raining. Get back to us. If pulling plug wires is not your thing, then be prepared to just bring it somewhere and get it diagnosed, no body here has a crystal ball to see what you are doing, or a magic wand to make the problem go away. Give us something to work with.

I have looked under the hood, does not seem to be anything out of order. It is not throwing any codes. And I know nobody has a crystal ball. But the chances of someone else or one of the Ford Techs have run into this problem is what I was hoping for. As far as pulling plug wires you apparently dont know much about what you talking about because in my other post I said I would be replacing all 8 coil packs and plugs this week. Not just a simple pull a plug wire and look. NO PLUG WIRES UNDER MY HOOD.

For a guy that's provided very few details, and received few responses, you're pretty ****y. Sorry I missed one detail in your posts, however, that fact has no bearing on how much I know. Have you pulled any of those coils to see if there is moisture showing? It's very odd that no codes exist with the conditions you've described. I am trying to help you, so you avoid wasting money by throwing parts at the problem. It does sound like a spark scatter. If you've never experienced a skip on a modular engine, they are very subtle and may not feel like what you are accustomed to. If you are already disposed to replacing all eight coils, that would be a good place to start.

Sorry not tring to be ****y. I posted this last night after dark. It rained all weekend here so I was not able to really start pulling things. And last night the only response I had gotten back(before I got off the computer) was from someone who father was a mechanic for Ford. Your right I do not know what the spark scatter feels like, I do know what a bad coil pack feels like and the truck really bucked. When it idles real low @400rpm the truck is so smooth you cant hear any engine noise. But if you give it gas to try to hold 1500rpms it jumps up about 400 and then back down. Again sorry not trying to be ****y just trying to get it fixed soon. I drive 100+ miles daily and don't want to get stuck.

That's really strange, it sounds much like a vacuum leak, or other airflow issue. Since you are pretty sure that it happened after the puddle, I would check the MAF sensor, maybe some mud got in there. Can't say for sure why the rain affects it, but if there is mud on it, when it get's moist, it will stay cooler that it should for the amount of air flowing over it. You could also try this, since no codes are thrown. Most dealerships have a flight recorder. they can hook it up, you hit a button, and it records 30 seconds worth of drive time, and can record several "episodes". They can program several sensors to be monitored. This is at least worth checking out, and will pinpoint the issue. Hope this helps.

clean your mass air flow sensor. I have seen the oil from K&N filters coat the sensor. Try that.

I was going to do that. I am trying to get everything done so I can get a dyno pull and get it data logged before the weekend.
