New here, Want some facts...
Hey guys,
First off, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is James and I'm a rookie salesman for Ford in the Harrisburg, PA area. I don't know all that much about Ford trucks yet...
If its cool, any facts you guys have as to why the F series pickups are better than Chevy, Dodge, Nissan, etc, I'd love to hear em. I want to be able to answer any question my customers may have and be able to show them beyond a doubt that Fords are truly the best.

this is a great site, you might also want to try ford truck enthusiasts. Persoanlly I bought an F-150 because I thought it performed better than any of the others overall. The F-150 is the best truck overall and it rides the best of all of the full size trucks. In my opinion, it looks great too. Just a piece of advice from my point of view, spend your time with the customer building up the Ford (its good features and what it does well) and don't bother flaming the competition, its not worth the time and just makes the salesman look bad (I walked away from a toyota salesman b/c he spent more time harping on the competition than selling his product). Just get people to drive them and I think that the trucks will sell themselves. Harrisburg and surrounding areas are good places to sell trucks too, I'm sure they know what to look for and appreciate with full size pickups. I went to school in Williamsport and have a bunch of friends in the Harrisburg area. Always lots of good info at edmunds.com for comparisons, road tests and reviews.
Yea, dont bash other companies. One of the best things you could do when someone ask's you about something on dodge or something, is dont talk negative about them. Tell that yes, they make good products and the competition really forces every manuacture to make great trucks.
Chevy offers a really trick steering wheel with nice features. You have 2 drivers with coded key's, and each driver has personal and business miles. You can keep a great log of your driving, works great for people that use thier vehicle for work and personal use. Chevy 4x4's are tow ready for being pulled behind motorhomes and such. Dodge offers some really trick storage under the seats, and the back seat folds up nicely, with a metal storage tray to protect the seats and offers a flat surface. Dodge offers a 7/70 warrenty. Other than that, let the truck sell itself.

way back in 1997, I had been shopping for a new truck for nearly 2 years. As I was getting close to a purchase, the Dodge dude says to me:
"So, this is your first ever new truck? Take it from me, don't ever do the low buck version, go for the optioned out one and you'll never regret it. Make it what you want up front..........modify it thru JC Whitney? What's that all about?"
Well, he was right.....I went with a fully loaded F150 XLT 4x4 and have NEVER regretted it. Too bad for him I went with Ford over Dodge.
