Great idea...Get him the hat, or a Dodge key chain or beer koozie or coffee mug. Life's too short for arguing with the old man, if you could change it to a friendly 'ribbing' every now and then it could turn into a fun thing. Every once in a while tell him something like "You know Dad, I'm really glad that you like Mopars. Cause if you were driving a Toyota I might have grown up demented". Ask your mother to get each of you RC trucks (Ford and Dodge) for christmas. You could battle with those and have a good time doing something together.

Blood is thicker than oil. Literally.

With that said, look on the bright side. He's not driving a Civic with a wing, right?

I hope you have apologized to your dad. Some day when you have kids, you will come full circle and fully understand the sacrifices that your Dad has made in raising you. Cut him as much slack as needed....trust me you will glad you did later in life.

At 16, I thought my Dad was stupid. At 25, I realized he was one of the smartest people I know. My Dad is now my best friend and I truly dread the day he is gone.

Trust me, I play the brand game with people also, both with trucks and motorcycles. When push comes to shove tho......its a brand, its a preference, its an object.
