Huge wing and the extremely open fans dont work for me.

Never have been a big fan of them (only dragsters or similar functioning cars should have them IMO). Smaller wings are ok, but the huge one doesnt seem necessary on this car.

Other than that I like it

Definitely!! I'm with you on that one. I just think those big wings look dorky. And the open fans, I think they detract from the looks rather than adding to it. I posted a picture of my dream car in the "What makes this car so valuable?" thread. Check it out...they'll never make a car that compares to it no matter how many wings they put on 'em!!

Thats my opinion, if you don't like it I have others.

This car has a big wing

So do these

Its not like a 105hp car that wont go over 110mph, these are cars that will hit 150mph. At higher speeds around a road course, wouldn't you want a little bit of downforce? Its like the original mach I, that front spoiler that sticks way out is the stupidest looking thing.

And the Electric fans just scream high performance.

No carpet on the inside, carbon fiber seats, all kinds of light weight stuff, cant see the ricer in it. BUT wait,,,,,,a huge wing (thats not that big, the picture is taken from the ground) makes it a ricer. You could have a 500hp road racing machine thats pure american power, throw a functional wing on it and bam. You got a ricer.

Hey now, behave yourself!! I'd take a Mach 1 over the GT-R any day of the week. IMO the newer cars, while powerful and built for speed, really cannot be compared to the style of the classic Muscle Cars.

Raw, unadulterated power...

That particular car is your brothers? I found that car for sale in an add on Collector Car Trader's site. If it is his, tell him he has an awesome car but why is he selling it? And thanks for the use of the picture!!

Sorry, didn't mean to mislead you. I meant my brother has one just like it , same color, but that picture is not his.

BTW this years project is to finish restoring (it's been going on for 25 years) a 1952 ford pickup with the flathead 8 (the kind Sanford and Son had). Its just a few spring days away from being finished.

No problem srfd44!! Tell your brother he has an awesome car anyhow, I'm jealous. I used to have a '67 Mustang but my hubby couldn't keep up with repairs on 2 classics (he has a '68 Bronco). So the Mustang had to be traded The Mach 1 is what I really want...someday I will have one ...Is the 1952 Pickup yours or his?

The pickup is his but we all help in fixing it. I will post pics when the truck is finished along with the stang. The cool thing about the 52 is that we found an AM tube radio for it, it takes 7 seconds to warm up.

We are always working on old cars. I will be buying a 65 to 68 stang to fix up for my son within the next year. No muscle car though, just one with the 289 engine automatic. It will be ready when he gets his license.
