Foot Locker

It just occurred to me that I could order shoes online and get exactly the shoes I wanted, without going from store to store or having to hear, "They're out of stock, sir." I even saved a crapload due to online sales. What a dumbass, I could have been doing this all along. I don't like to buy clothing without trying it on first; but, I rarely have any trouble with shoe sizing. For some reason I always lump shoes and clothing into the same thought. No more! I've had an epiphany!

Yes, I am bored.

I've done this on more than one occasion...

Go to the store and try on the style/model/shape that you think that you want to own... from there, remember the size/model/shape that fit you and suited you best... then run like mad to ebay or another online retailer and save some $ by ordering there.

Maybe it's not quite right but, I know I've saved several bucks over retail doing it this way... just about anything that you find in a mall will have a full retail markup and thus, typically more expensive than ordering it online and waiting... I'm really not a total cheapskate but, saving a buck here and there pays off in the long run... daddy's KR needs gas boys! LOL!

With kids that outgrew sneakers bi-monthly I haved saved tons on online sales.
This is one of my favorites:
http://www.finishline.com/store/cata...&endecaSort=pa

Above shows them sorted lowest price to highest for mens sneakers. Just click on your shoe size to narrow search.

I do like RockPick and go to the store and see what size, style and etc that I like and fit. I then go to the website and look under the clearance shoes and see if they are listed. They usually are and save even more than the store sale price by buying online.

I can buy the whole family new sneakers that are current on the shelves in the store for 320.00 total.. I then go to this website and buy all of the same sneakers for about 90.00 shipped..It adds up over the years.

IMO, there is nothing wrong with finding what you want, and looking online for it. I try to purchase local, and a few bucks more is not a big deal. But when its 30-70% more local...
We have a local "Motorsports" retailer, which sells all aftermarket stuff from Autometer to to to... (some other name starting with Z)
Here is some recent prices I obtained from them
Rancho RS-6488 lift kit. Local $2,300 Online $1,400
Autometer gauges. I can only remember one, the electric fuel pressure gauge #3663. Local $299.00 Online $179.00
Autometer tripple pod. Local $95.00 Online $58.XX.
In a side note... My current truck Local was Invoice minus rebates, online (dealer 180 miles away) $500.00 below invoice, PLUS an extra $500.00 rebate that my local dealer knew nothing about.
We have a local motorcycle/snowmobile/ect shop that has commercials trying to make people feel bad about buying on the internet or out of the local area, I dont think its working!!
Maybe they will lower their prices. They can still make the same profit with a higher volume of sales.

Guess im bored too.

SHOES!!!

I used to buy/sell Nike for our dept stores and it was a blast. You would get to see the shoes that were comming out a year in advance and could alway's book yourself whatever shoe/s you wanted. I would alway's have 2 pair of SHOX or whatever I wanted per season on order. It was alway's fun.

And I got them for COST!

Congratulations on your epiphany!! Sorry you're bored...seems to be the theme for today!!

We used to live in a tiny town that was accessible only by ferry or airplane. I became really good at shopping online for everything!! I did some shoe shopping at Payless Shoesource. They've changed their site and I'm not sure if they're better or worse but here it is if you want to try it on...pun intended!!

Doc Martin boots and Nike hiking boots. I saved about 50 bucks after shipping and handling.
