Benadryl knocks me out cold. I'm having a cough Have you tried taking Claritin? It's supposed to help allergies, and it does but it makes me feel a little more than tipsy, if you know what I mean So I avoid Claritin. Tylenol Night/Day Time works too?

For the most part benadryl wont put me out. But if it's late and I have just started taking it, it'll make me pretty sleepy. But I've been taking it pretty much non-stop since spring break so the drowsiness isn't really that bad for me.

I also take Tylenol cold and sinus every now and then...it works ok.

As for claritin, I have the reditabs...either they dont do squat for me, or you have to take them for god knows how long before they start working.

And about 10 minutes ago my nose switched on me, now the right side is blocked up.

Unhappy

I hate it when that happens especially when both nasals are blocked.
I usually use Vicks VapoRub .
Put some in a cup, poor hot water on it, put a towel over your head and inhale/sniff the vapors real deep.

Don't forget to 'SPRING FORWARD' as time changed last night (if your area is affected by Daylight Savings Time).

Something funny (or gross) that I read about for allergy treatments.......

EAT whatever you pick from your nose! Alergians college in your nose so it become the hair of the dog that bit you!... of course another side benefit from eating your boogers is a loss of weight... LOL

Seriously folks, there are some good treatments for allergies, especially seasonal types... now those of you (myself included) who have widespread and continual allergies may well opt for the surgery fix...... I had it back in 1988 and was able to stop my shots and it pretty much eliminated my rhinitis (nasal reaction to allergians)...........

Hey, I'm not real sure what you meant by Vicks VapoRub, but I did what you said, squeezed some VapoRub Cream into a cup, filled w/ hot water and am sniffin it. I also have VapoSteam but I think that is more for like vaporizer use.
