didn't think of this, but I guess it could be a tv antenna, but the end of the coax could only goes to about where the back of the stereo is. This truck does have the rear entertainment system - but I haven't played around with it to see if it has a TV tuner or not. Where would the tuner be if it is one? Also, if it is a tv antenna, there would still be another 1/2 of the antenna on the outside of the windshield right?

Looks exactly like my old Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile truck phone that I used to have way back in the day. The two-piece through-the-glass deal. The outside piece is gone, and the phone is gone, and whoever put it in didn't want to take the headliner out to retrieve their piece of wire, so they left it. It would be a terrible cb antenna, not even worth trying. It could be an antenna for the tv or something else of that nature, but that wouldn't explain the other end that you found. Looks like they took everything off the truck before they let it go and they didn't take as much time getting everything out as they did putting it in.

I really know what it is, Its a mini van remover, It has a simple Laser that when turned on and aimed at the target vehicle simply removes it from the road in front of you allowing you to run your truck at state posted (or above) highway speeds instead of behind a stinkin lousey mini van going 15 miles an hour slower....
