i just got off the phone with a local seattle dealer and on a 03 red they said 31500 over the phone. i might pull my chip and filter and go play with the numbers tommorrow. i told them i wanted 20,000 trade for my 99 with 10k on it and they said it was probably doable. they wont commit to any thing until they see it. i still think i saw a few advertised for about 29999 a month ago in the paper. what kind of money should i pay for a leftover cobra. any help appreciated.

well the dealer told me there is a 2000 $ rebate on left over 2003's. But that dealership tried to rape me on trade in. I actually ended up getting the 2004 for about 20 dollars cheaper a month than a 2003. They just didn't want to deal on the 03'2 up here. I say you should be able to get a 2003 for under $30,000

i just went and drove a used zinc yellow at a dealer close to me it was used and had 13000 miles. had a new rearend and bald tires. wanted like $ 32000 for it and jerked me around on my trade in value. tires were bald on cobra also. i didnt really even want it just wanted to drive it. i was impressed. pulls hard in 3rd and hit 100 real quick. wow i am going to drive about an hour and deal on that red one i was quoted on. if i can get a good trade in i think i am going to do it.

what king of insurance premiums are you paying compared to your lightning. i just called to see what a new cobra would cost and it is double what my lightning is. i got a clean record,married,32yrs old and all that stuff. i pay $340 ever 6 months on my lightning and a cobra would cost $700.00 every six months. i was like wow. i realize if i can buy a cobra that should not stop me. but heck are lightnings are cheap in comparison. i called another place in town and they wanted$1100 for 6months. so my insurance company is the cheapest i found
