I think RockPick got blamed for something I said in an earlier post…

Just for the record I lived in California for 20+ years, went to school there from K – 12, finally escaped from there in the winter of 93 and moved to wonderful New Hampshire. State of LOTS OF FREAKING SNOW and more trees then you could ever imagine. I mean there are trees EVERYWHERE, so much so I do believe they need to enact a law for mandatory CLEAR CUTTING…

I remember having to pay for gas before you could pump there, like they can’t trust us tax paying people. Well they can, it’s the welfare and other losers always looking for an excuse to steal something they can’t trust and thus the reason for making everyone pay first.

Stealing gas by these losers is just that an excuse. $4 - $8 a week more is not going to break someone. Not when you can make cuts is another area’s such as snack, fast food, hookers etc…

As I said I hate paying more for gas like the next tax paying citizen but NO WAY in hell do I want the government in charge of it because then gas prices would double, there would always be gas shortages, and it would be one standard octane of 80, pumps would go to hell due to lack of maintenance, you would have to replace your fuel filters once a week due to contaminates in the underground fuel storage tanks and those in government in charge of such a program would get RICHER then any oil companies you could think of now.

That’s how it works in government, they take it away from someone making good money and then really stick it to the little guy and then make themselves richer then the prior business that once owned it. Called “liberal” programs, every time one is tried it fails…

Yeah, freaking hilarious isn't it? I get blamed for enough stuff around here and now I'm getting drug into your mess...

Even worse, maybe I'm begining to sound more like you in some of my posts... Oh no. I need to find a very tall bridge in very short order...

Every year, $14-15,000,000 worth of gas is unpaid for.
Owners of gasstations can't do much about it because they can't get the name and adress of the license plate holder due to privacy reasons.
They can inform the police about it but prevention of stealing gas is not their priority, giving you a ticket if you go 5 km over the speedlimit is.

I have never heard of paying first and then pumping gas.
I always pump gas myself, most of the gasstations are selfservice.
You put in your card, give your pinnumber, pump gas and push the button for the receipt.

Or you pump gas first and pay cash or give your card to the employee.

Third, I pump gas first, then give them my clientnumber.
Have to sign the receipt and get the bill every month.

They have hookers who work for $4 to $8 in New Hampshire?

In case you missed it...here on the Left Coast at least...most of the $2.55 a gallon we pay IS MADE UP OF GOVT. TAXES. Also, weight and measures, and chemical composition and monitoring of same is all done by the Govt. For all intents and purposes it already is run by the Govt.

By putting in your card and entering the pin number you have opened access to your account...by doing this prior to pumping gas you are, in essence, paying BEFORE you pump the gas.

It's the same here. Tha gas pumps have credit card slots in them...push the AMEX card into the slot and it turns on the pump...you are paying before you pump. On access to your account...no gas.

Ok, they know they can write off money from your account.
But what I meant was this.

I can fill up whatever amount I want, then they write off that money, let's just say $125.

It's not that they write off $125 from my account first and that I can only fill up with $125 worth of gas.
So I am not paying first before pumping gas.
They know that you can pay but you are not paying in advance anything.

If you know what I mean.

Nothing to be sorry for, a common mistake. Look at the comparisons:

1. They both own f-150's
2. They both put wax on clockwise and take it off counterclockwise.
3. They're both ****, one about his driveway, and one about government entitlements.
4. They both got married, one still is, one isn't.
5. They both have similar professions, one picks rocks, the other throws rocks at liberals.
6. They both love animals, one has a dog, the other collects flat cats.
7. They both spend more hours than most of us on this addictive website.
