Is there a way to find out what my first post was? I honestly don't remember what it was. I tried searching and I got no where. Just curious. Thanks guys.

Ah, here we go.

Hey all my name is Joe. I'm a life guard with a F150 stock. I want to get new mods to it but that will be soon once I get the money. I am also saving up for some nipple rings.

There.

Here is your first post. If you use the 'search' feature and type in your handle on the right side as opposed to typing in a word search, it brings up every thread you have ever posted to. Enjoy the past!

I dunno. I can't find the "reveal yourself" thread and that was the first thread I ever posted to in the GD forum. After that, I was hooked.

LGJ,
Using the "search" function from your profile, this seems to be your first General Discussion post.

Here is the "Reveal Yourselves!!!" thread.
Interesting. It looks like that thread was the origin of 01's nickname "Burt", no?

John

My first post is long gone.
The site had a server crash back in June or July of 1999. There are a few threads that are older than that but they exist only because someone had posted to them to refresh the date.
It was a shocker to log on that day and find that every thread that hadn't been posted to within the last week or so was gone.

I don't think there were member 'titles' back then or everyone would have been an instant 'Junior Member'.

I don't think we had a Post Counter by our name either. I believe it was different software.

I do remember my first post though. It was a month before I ordered my truck and I had been reading this site since Dec '98.
Piston Slap was all the rage. Many threads about it. Someone posted that Ford had found the fix for piston slap and would be sending each owner a repair kit (this is how naive we were in the early days).

My first post said,
"Let's just hope that Fords 'repair kit' isn't a box with a pair of ear muffs in it".

I remember when the first Lightning owners showed up.
I think it was Bill Murray and MRBBQMAN.
They respectively asked Steve if he would consider creating a 'Lightning Forum".
(little did he know....)
