GM oops.

That with the Pontiac, trucks being recalled for tranny problems and for tail gate cables. The latter is the largest recall in GM history. Makes ya wonder who GM started paying at JD Powers for the high quality rating.

Sled...

Ya, how about that. Who would have ever thought those cables would break. I was shocked when they broke on my dad's f150. Come on people, is it really necessary to point out all of the little faults companies do just to make what you drive seem better? I'm not bashing anything here, I drive a ford now and a chevy 2 weeks ago. My chevy was flawless, so far my lights on my ford are a little screwy, I realize ***** happens. Everything has problems that come out sooner or later. Please dont anyone take this the wrong way. I just get a little tired of going on forums and seeing that people start bashing whatever they dont have.

GM and Ford better watch it with their quality control issues. Now that Dodge has got some Mercedes blood in it, it just might end up on top. That is if the problems with the cam bolts on the SRT/10 dosn't become a big issue.

Yes they all have their issues. It seems to me that Ford has been taking a lot of heat the past few years because of their volentary recalls.

I hope they all can get their acts together or well be driving Toyotas and Nissans!

That doesn't surprise me with a Pontiac. For the record the last non-Ford car I owned was a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. I bought it new and I got rid of it after only owning it 2 years because it was for warranty work at least once a quarter. The warranty was running out and I wanted something of good quality to owner.

gtchief, as a former owner of a GM product, it doesn't surprise me about the problem. That product is the reason that I would go foreign before I would ever buy another GM. Also, as a Ford stock holder, I am very happy when other manufacturer's screw up.

Actually, American cars are more reliable than BMW and Mercedes now. If you think they don't have problems, ask an owner.

A friend of mine is a BMW mech. and says he has a lot of repeat cars for the same problem. You're almost in trouble no matter what you buy.
