Question Anybody on here take any networking or CISCO courses?

I'm in my 4th term in college. I've taken a few computer courses so far. I am still kind of new to networking and programing. My major is Ebusiness. I do not really want to go into computer Networking, but I have to take a few classes to get the degree in Business. So far I've taken C++, A+ Computer hardware, Windows 2000 Professional, HTML, Photoshop and Dream Weaver. I've taken a few more classes, my confern is the networking class. CISCO 1 is what I am in now. I am lucky I dont have to take 2,3 or 4 but I have heard even CISCO 1 the test has gotten harder. I have to get an 80% on the final or I have to retake the class. I think it's good they have raised the standards, and they are weeding out the people who don't care. But I am not going into networking, and I am not a good test taker. I am getting all A's and B's in college, but I have never had to get an 80% on any of the finals to pass the class. Usually I go into the class with a high enough A or B, I can do whatever on the final, and keep my grade. I am not a good test taker, nor do I know much about Networking. Can anyone give me any info that will make me feel any better about this CISCO course I am in now?
Thanks, Shane

Cisco 1 is the easiest. Is it the 3.14? Some advice, go to cliftnotes.com that'll be your life saver right there.

yes it's 3.14. 3.14 is the newest one right? I know CISCO 1 is the easiest of the 4, but it's still going to be hard for me. I dont know much about computers, and networking. I understand the basics of ip addressing, and subnetting. But I am scared about that last test, I dont know how I'll get an 80 on it.
thanks for the site.

Getting an 80% on the final isn't all that hard. STUDY STUDY STUDY, is all you can really do. I did that and I pulled off a 96% on the final.

thanks for the info. I'll do my best. I just have to stay on top of it throughout the weeks, and then study study study before the final. The teacher said I should be fine. It's just the people who don't show up to class are the ones who will have to retake the class. He said I've got nothing to worry about, but I worry about everything. When did you take CISCO in High School or College?
thanks again man, Shane

I took it this year in high school. You can probably read some posts where I was asking Q's about it. Although I was on 2.xx so I don't know the difference between yours and mine, but I doubt much has changed. If you need any help just let me know and I'll try to help out the best I can.

Thanks man, what is your email address? Or screen name on AOL? I'm sure I'll have some questions. I just took the first section quiz and passed that. It was an intro to networking and had some bianary and hex #'s on it. I am glad I passed that.
Thanks, Shane
