Ohio will decide, once again, this election.

wi will go to kerry unfortunately. they have been becoming more and more a democratic vote.
the ones who would vote republican tend to not vote and the ones from milw and madison tend to vote dem.

I would agree that OH and FL are the key.

If the other states hold, OH and FL alone could put Kerry in the White House as 270 is the magic number.

Of course if Bush gets one or both of those two states then races in NV and NH etc... become crucial for both candidates.

I don't believe Nader will determine the winner like he did last time.
This is how close it was in 2000 :

Florida
Bush - 2,912,790
Gore - 2,912,253
Nader - 97,488

Ohio
Bush - 2,351,209
Gore - 2,186,190
Nader - 117,857

That is the kind of input I was looking for, someone at the source.

I would have never guessed that looking at the 2000 results.
It was one of the closest elections.
See, if you were a big Bush supporter, you could have a real impact on the next four years by getting involved in such a close race. Wisconsin is a 'major player'. 5,000 votes could be swung when over 2.5 million are cast.

Wisconsin 2000

Gore - 1,242,987
Bush - 1,237,279
Nader - 94,070

This is how close it was, convince 1 out of every 435 people who voted for Gore to vote for Bush and Bush wins.
Just 1 out of every 435.

actually when the rallies were in town it looked as though bush would be a shoe in. the gore supporters just quietly went to the polls and won.

hard to convince them here, many union workers, gov't hand out recipients in milw, and teachers that are constantly campaigning for the dems.

but we do try. when the chance comes around.
