Here's a couple of stories;
I run a rather large Apartment complex and I've come across a few "grows" in the last year.
First one was a burglery we caught in action,2 guys were going into this apartment when I came around the corner,i got on the radio and called my crew over and we pounced on them when they came out the window. They each had 4 plants in each hand about 5 foot tall. When the cops showed we entered the apartment and lo and behold there another 10 plants growing in the guys closet.
Second was a real pro set up,it started as a leak into the unit downstairs from above. This guy had his 18 year old girlfriend lease this apartment for his grow. he had a hydroponic set up in there and what gave it away was one of the feeder lines from the pumps broke,thus the leak. 40 plants there growing out of holes drilled into 4 inch PCV pipes with water running through them and using cattle feed for plant food.
And the lastest has to go under "Dumbist Growers".
These fools rent a large townhome and movein and tell us they don't want anyone in thier apartment unless they are there (red flag)...then they fail to get the power put into thier name and of course it remains in our name and we get the bill. now one of these townhome will generally use maybe 1100 KWH of power per month average. We get a bill for,now get this,9,450KWH of use. The first thing I do is go over and check the meter. The wheel is spinning like a frissbie and the A/C units are not running outside. well least to say DPD narcotics is on this as we speak.
