Thanks guys It means a lot. A few weeks ago I came across a picture to a story that I drew, when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I will have to upload that also... I drew this awesome Ford pickup. Who would have known? It sure surprised me when I saw it.

The BIG truck is a Peterbilt 379x. I will have to draw a tractor soon. I think those 3 drawings are pretty much all I have that's actually completed.

I might dig up the originals of those pics I drew so you can compare.

I have been thinking about working for Ford on their design team. Or go to an art school, and go from there... what's your guys's opinions?

Of coarse Ford would be the best, but dont limit yourself.

Just read an article about how hard it is getting to get into the big 3 anymore. Engineers, design, all areas. It said if you could get a co-op job it was almost a garantee of being hired.
Not anymore though, said most, naming Ford as the primary one, that co-ops in a specific field have to line up for those jobs like evryone else. With all the cost cutting they have been doing they want to downsize design teams.

But if you want to get in Ford or any big three the way to get a foot in young is to co-op.
Just keep your options open and learn Chinese just in case..

keep them coming Lariat.......

Being a nurse is a noble profession but, why do you think that would turn you into a pediatrician in 5 years? Nurses make enough money that you should be able to keep your car or at least some kind of vehicle.

Becoming a pediatrician isn't anything to dream about. Sure its good excerise but, you are condeming yourself to life in a crosswalk at the mercy of oncoming traffic.

I would reconsider if I were you.

This is a good topic. It was nice to read all of your dreams.
I got started on my dream 6 months ago. It is just the begining, but my dream is to finish school, get my degree, and get a nice job. I'd like to do a few things. At first I would like to be an accountant for a company. Maybe a major law firm. I'd like to be in charge of the finances. Then I would also like to work for the police department in some way. Weather I work nights, or weekends, I've always wanted to be a policeman. I want to get a real nice house with either a lake or a pond in the back with a waterfall. I can't wait to get married and start a family. It just has to be at the right time, I want it to be perfect. I want to either have a boy and a girl, or two boys. Lastly I'd like to retire as early as I can. As much as I enjoy working, my dream is to be financially independant as soon as possible. Once I could afford it, I'd like to open up a bar or a cafe. I've always wanted to run a little resturante or bar. I don't know, we'll see. I'll pry try a bunch of different things along the way. Good luck to everyone working towards their dreams.
Shane

Well, i want to become a pediatrician because i love kids. But its not something i would want to stick with for ever..I've always wanted to be a trauma sergon. That would be awesome but to much school for it...becoming a doctor is something i've always wanted to be, espeacially after my aunt died of Scleraderma. We'll see what happens...

uh.....ok. I work with kids too but, only until I can get them cut from the herd. You just can't take them from their momma until they are off the tit. They are more trouble than they're worth actually. Not even worth their weight. That's not just my opinion, anyone in my field will tell you the same.

Hey, I am doing her a favor.
Have you ever seen pictures of the sidewalks of New York?
Nothing but pediatricians as far as the eye can see.

I remember the days when i was a young kid growin up
Looking in the mirror, dreamin about blowin up
The rock crowd, make money, chill with the honeys
Sign autographs or whatever the people want from me
It's funny how impossible dreams manifest
And the games that be comin with it
Nevertheless
You got to go for the gusto but you dont know
About the blood, sweat and tears
And losing some of your fears
And losing some of yourself to the years past,
Gone by
Hopefully it dont manifest
For the wrong guy
Egomaniac and the brainiac
Dont know how to act
48 tracks
Studio gangster, mack,
Sign the deal, thinks he's gonna make a mil
But never will til he crosses over
Still filling your head with fantasies
Come with me, show the sacrifice it takes to make the cheese
