Came out excellent. I did wait the 30 days, plus a few. I even called and asked about it and they gave me the go ahead. Going to try and get some pictures of it maybe on Sunday if the sun is out...

Rockpick...
That's a darn nice lookin' course.

As for girlfriends/wives, for the most part they are more trouble than they are worth...and both emotionally and financially they are a bad return on investment.

HOWEVER...today I played golf with two friends, one of whom brought his girlfriend. She is 23 and a total babe. She has been playing golf for only six months and she's damn good. She shot 87 today.

Now...if I could find a woman who was as good looking as this girl was (heck...she she was only half as good looking as this girl was that would be enough)...AND she could play golf as well as this girl did...then I would consider getting involved with someone again.

Did I mention she was HOT...BEAUTIFUL...I MEAN REALLY GOOD LOOKING!!!! and she played golf!!!!????

Where do you find someone like that?

But I digress.....

When I bought it there was a small ding, chip on the front left fender. There was also a run in the paint on the tailgate in about the middle of it from the top down.

The dealer had both the fender and tailgate repainted at a “professional” body shop under warranty…

There are guys who are a bad return on investment too....

Least you forget...I live in Lost Angeles...

Where SHALLOW is the norm.

Yes, it's a gross generalization...but unfortunately it's true

You might not be that way SlowSVT95....

You are female...AND have an L....

That already speaks well of you.

Glad to hear you're happy with it! I have heard that they have had paint flaws for years from the Canadian plant.

Dang...sorry to hear that (although not surprised)...

After all you went thru to get it....

Hope it was all made good and looks perfect now.

I loved both my Lightnings (2000 and 2002) and am thinking about getting another (although all my friends are telling me not to). Enjoy it dude!

Well there is NO quality control as far as inspection. The run in the tailgate was plain as day. I could see it from miles away. It took my daughter a while to see it, had to show her just how to look at it...

Kobiashi,

Yes, I knew about the two issues before buying it. It was the color I wanted and a damn good price. I had my silver XLT screwdrivered (keyed was not the word) on the tailgate and rear quarters and it was the same body shop that repaired and repainted that truck so I knew there work was top notch and that I had nothing to worry about with the L.

I think at first the dealer didn’t think I would notice, up until I was in the bed checking out the roof, and on my knees going around the bottom of the truck. It was quite funny. When they first seem me doing this the one guy tells the other to go get the clipboard with the diagram on it. It’s a diagram they use to note the areas of “damage”

Of course my daughter was standing off and rolling her eyes. Then when I mentioned the HUGE run in the tailgate my daughter comes over and says “Where? I don’t see a run” I say come here, look at it this way, she says “Oh” and then “oh brother”
