+1 vote for Funny

Reminds of the the Jackass episode where knoxville walked around on the streets wearing a devil suit and people started beating him up.

That was real Christian-like of people to throw things at him. That whole argument seems kind of one-sided to me.

Talking

I haven't seen the movie and probably won't.
I would find it hilarious for a stoning to be happening on the screen while a stoning was going on in the theatre.

The Bible is clear on this. It says, 'Let him who is without sin cast the first Ju-Ju bean".

I am appalled that a Gummy Bear was used in the commision of a crime.

I believe the Devil was in the theater but, he was not wearing a red costume.

But, the hardest thing for me to comprehend about the whole incident is, why does a 75yr old woman buy a half gallon of Coke?

Ok, try these and see what you think:

Group of atheists show up for a film about evolution and a man shows up dressed as Jesus…

Group of Muslims show up for a film about what ever and a man shows up dressed like a terrorist…

Group of goat herder’s show to a film about proper grazing of land and a man shows up dressed like a sheep…

Oh, oh here’s one, a group of Meguiars users show up to a film about #9 and #29 and a man shows up with a suitcase of Zaino,,,

There is an appropriate time and place for everything, this particular moron did not do it for any kind of principle but merely to mock a crowd of people. I am sorry, but this is tasteless and he got what he deserved.

It has NOTHING to do with tolerance…

What in the wild wild world of sports do Meguiar's and Zaino have to do with this? LOL!

Further, what the hell is #29? You mean #26?

That's like me walking in and talking about Z-69... oh, wait a minute, you think Z is better than sex. Nevermind. Bad comparison.

The exchange would be something like this:

"Hey Tim, how's it going?"
"Same, same.How about you?"
"Just taking in a show. How's Mrs McVeigh doing?"
"She just started second shift at the Piggly-Wiggly,"
"I'll be glad when we can both retire."
" Anyway enjoy the movie."
"Aren't you staying?"
"No, I just came here dressed as a terrorist to offend."
"Like a terrorist? You're dressed like all the rest of us."
"My Point, exactly."

I was trying to avoid that.

I belong to Goat Herders Local 638 and if a guy showed up wearing a sheeps costume, we'd kick his ***.

But that doesn't mean I don't expect others to be tolerant.

(A man in sheeps clothing is hitting below the belt.)

Post

I don't normally get in the middle of these types of discussions, but I had to post my view on this one.

I am assuming, from what I read in the article, that the devil dude did not yell, cuss, or other wise heckle the crowd. He just basically showed up (in costume) to watch a movie and see what reaction he could get. I agree that was wierd, but not illegal or anything.

Going on the above assumption, lets turn this around backwards...
A theater full of people going to see a horror movie. Some guy shows up in a Jesus costume and acts basically the same way the "devil dude" did above. Would he be treated the same way? I think not. Probably the general consensus would be: "look at that crazy guy. Phffft. Lets go watch the movie." I doubt there would be throwing of JuJu beans.

Just my .02
