yah, that horrible pinko leftist liberal pentagon

here's some more from the report...

Key findings of the Pentagon Report
· Future wars will be fought over the issue of survival rather than religion, ideology or national honor.

· By 2007 violent storms smash coastal barriers rendering large parts of the Netherlands inhabitable. Cities like The Hague are abandoned. In California the delta island levees in the Sacramento river area are breached, disrupting the aqueduct system transporting water from north to south.

· Between 2010 and 2020 Europe is hardest hit by climatic change with an average annual temperature drop of 6F. Climate in Britain becomes colder and drier as weather patterns begin to resemble Siberia.

· Deaths from war and famine run into the millions until the planet's population is reduced by such an extent the Earth can cope.

· Riots and internal conflict tear apart India, South Africa and Indonesia.

· Access to water becomes a major battleground. The Nile, Danube and Amazon are all mentioned as being high risk.

· A 'significant drop' in the planet's ability to sustain its present population will become apparent over the next 20 years.

· Rich areas like the US and Europe would become 'virtual fortresses' to prevent millions of migrants from entering after being forced from land drowned by sea-level rise or no longer able to grow crops. Waves of boatpeople pose significant problems.

· Nuclear arms proliferation is inevitable. Japan, South Korea, and Germany develop nuclear-weapons capabilities, as do Iran, Egypt and North Korea. Israel, China, India and Pakistan also are poised to use the bomb.

· By 2010 the US and Europe will experience a third more days with peak temperatures above 90F. Climate becomes an 'economic nuisance' as storms, droughts and hot spells create havoc for farmers.

· More than 400m people in subtropical regions at grave risk.

· Europe will face huge internal struggles as it copes with massive numbers of migrants washing up on its shores. Immigrants from Scandinavia seek warmer climes to the south. Southern Europe is beleaguered by refugees from hard-hit countries in Africa.

· Mega-droughts affect the world's major breadbaskets, including America's Midwest, where strong winds bring soil loss.

· China's huge population and food demand make it particularly vulnerable. Bangladesh becomes nearly uninhabitable because of a rising sea level, which contaminates the inland water supplies.

I'm just so disappointed.

No long-winded diatribe from 01 on how this is just another example of the horrible liberal propaganda machine spewing out lies to make Bubbya look bad...

I didn’t read it but from some of your quotes above it seems to have something to do with global warming of which is not a problem. Actually we have a problem with global cooling if you ask me.

Now of course all the global warming believers will come along and say ”sure there is global cooling, that is the effect of global warming…” (thats what some of them say all the time)

Anyway for every scientist that has evidence of global warming there is another with evidence that there is either no global warming or that in fact there is no where near enough evidence to prove one way or the other.

From some of my readings global warming is much more productive to the world then global cooling is.

Here is something to ask those who serious believe in global warming:

”How did we get out of the ice age?”

If they answer SUV’s BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

perhaps you should read the article before you look even more foolish. After all, it is your revered pentagon that issued the report...

First of all I have to take some "secret report" with a grain of salt. Enough said.

Second, here's some decent talk about climate change.

http://www.votenoneoftheabove.net/climate3.html

There is more if you go to the main address. I'm not really supportive of some of their positions, but from what I got out of it they have some valid points. At least with the climate stuff they took a very fair and analytical approach, instead of "bad evil suvs".

There's lots of irrefutable scientific data about cyclic climate change and sunspot activity (sun warming). When it comes to "global warming" I have yet to see little more than speculation. I'm not saying that polutants are a good thing, our air quality in some cities is terrible, but lets keep it in perspective.

Doesn't it bother you just a little bit that some people are buying massive vehicles just because they count as commercial vehicles and they can write them off on their taxes? I've seen too many soccer moms driving Ford Excursions who, quite frankly, should not be allowed to drive a moped.

Doesn't it bother you that in 1930 the Ford Model A truck got 25 MPG and 75 years later our trucks are getting half that?

I'm not saying that polutants are a good thing, our air quality in some cities is terrible, but lets keep it in perspective.
Exactly what perspective should we keep it in? The air quality in some cities is not terrible, it is lethal. The ozone levels in Los Angeles (among other cities) reaches points where asthmatics, children and the elderly are told to stay inside in order to stay safe. When should we start caring about these issues? When no one can go outside?

After reading that article I can say I'm REALLY concerned. It seems to contain some dire predictions, but my main concern is how did a forgien reporter gain that much access to US govermental agencies to be able to obtain a suppressed document when th eUS press hasn't said a word about it?

It may be a false report.

The only one foolish is the moron that wrote this crap:

Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters..

A secret report, suppressed by US defense chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world.
Or anyone that actual believes this crap. This is the same crap that was said in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s so why does it get repeated over and over again. It has been proven, so to speak that when it was said in the early 70’s, to be false. If it were true then all that crap in the above quote would have happen in the 90’s…

The only thing we have really seen is winters get a “bit” colder which goes against the argument of “global warming”. How is it that global warming is making it possible for the past few winters to break record cold temps not seen in 50 – 100 years?

It is called cycles and scientist still do not yet know with are “real” certainty just how the cycles occur, for what reason they occur or how to predict when and how they will occur.

Thus, anyone spewing off about SUV’s destroying “mother earth” is only talking myths because that is all they are at this time…

You can substitute the ”US defense” with any wacko organization you wish, like Green Peace (GP), Liberals United for the Horse and Buggy (LUHB) and the list goes on…
