Did anyone else see the Dodge SRT 10 commercial Sunday during the Daytona 500? Ryan Newman driving and literally "blowing" the doors off an F150 s/crew....and at the end the famous saying "worlds fastest production truck"!! I can't believe no one has commented about it on here! I'm wondering if I'm the only one that saw it....they only played it one time....after the Ford GT commercial. Anyway, JR won, of course, with his "Nascar approved" shot of nitrous at the end!!

I saw it and you noticed that they didnt say that worlds fastest prodution truck all to loud there because they will be removing that after next year when the Gen III comes out

 

I think it's interesting that Dodge has to use the speed thing to sell this truck. I guess it's the only way they are going to get someone to shell out the $90 K for sticker plus big dealer mark-up. Can't say I've ever seen Ford do the same, I've always thought the Lightning just spoke for itself.

Where did you here that the SRT 10 had a 90k sticker on it? They are around 45k. Anyway, they suck.

 

They could ahve at elast used a ford lightning in their video if they wanna "try" making their srt10 look better.

 

I look at it this way. Dodge did a nice job showing off the great, new interior of the 04 F150, along with it's ability to easily seat an entire family. If anything, they helped Ford sell more trucks.

That is absolutely ridiculous. It is a piece of crap.

 

I find it funny that you guy's are even talking about this. In 3 years when the GEN III comes out and ford produces a similar commercial you will think its the best thing in the world and will be proud of it being the fastest truck. Untill then Dodge own's the title and is proudly showing it off. Get over it already....

 

The gen III will be an expensive truck but more worth the money in my opinion. I have already seen a L with a few mods and probably not nearly the hp smoke an SRT 10. No truck with 500 hp should even be close to a truck with 380 stock.

 

Ford doesn't do Lightning commercials, never has...

 

 

yall know it was a neat commercial even though i hate dodge blowing the doors of was funny and whats really funny is the know the only trucks it can blow doors off of are crew cabs and 4x4 the didnt use the l because the srt doesnt blow its doors off yall get the drift
