As CJ knows, that was a Renault Twingo which is sort of like a French Hyundai.
I have it on good authority that the French aristocracy having been forbidden to hunt for grouse and pheasant now have a new sport which basically consists of having a Twingo drive along a French hedgerow and they take shots at it with a .50 calibre sniper rifle.
As I understand it, this must have been one of the expert match events as only the best are allowed to shoot at a Twingo that has a human driver as opposed to a chain and a brick, one for the steering and one for the throttle.
