Computer Help Needed ASAP
Habibi, chill out. You have just about everything you need already.
From your first picture I can see that you have a British style 240v mains plug.
All you need to do is chop that sucker off and install a plug that will fit your mains sockets in the house.
There will be a Brown wire (Live) and a Blue wire (Neutral). The Brown wire is connected to the fuse in a UK plug but North American plugs don't have them.
Just connect the wires up so they go to the same place in both plugs as you look at them.
The top pin in the plug is for the Earth (Green/yellow) but I doubt that the power supply has one. If it's not there, don't worry about it.
As for the writing on the "brick".....
Dell AC ADAPTER
MODEL: PA-1131-02D
DP/N:9Y819
INPUT: 100 - 240V ~ 50 - 60 Hz 2.5A(2,5A)
OUTPUT: 19.5 (19,5) V ~~6.7A(6,7A) 130W
Input means that you can pug it into anything from 100 to 240 volts mains.
That's North America (110v) and just about everywhere else in the world (240v)
The 50 - 60Hz is the amount of cycles (frequency in Hertz) that the current alternates at. Again U.S= 50Hz and everyone else 60Hz. Probably. Or maybe the other way round. Not important.
The 2.5A means that the power supply will draw 2.5 Amps current.
Output means that regardless of where you plug this in, it will put out 19.5 Volts which is what the computer needs to run or charge.
The 130W means that you shouldn't use this supply for anything that needs more that 130 Watts. Basically, just use it for the Laptop.
So, there we go. You are the proud owner of a nice laptop and a dual purpose power supply that can be used anywhere in the world. Congratulations.
If you need anymore info, I suggest that you call the Burtmeister directly.
BTW, I have a new Dell Latitude D800. Very nice.

Thanks for your help you guys!
Today was a freaking nightmare, I mustve went to every computer place in the city trying to find this stupid cord, and no luck.
I just got off the phone with Dell parts and ordered one direct from Dell.
It is coming from Houston in 7-10 days.
9 bucks for the cord, and with shipping and taxes, its 27 and change.
I told her, charge me whatever you want, just send me the damn cord, LOL
I was thinking about your suggestion Adam, but I will keep the original cord in tact, this way when I travel to Abu Dhabi, I will take that cord with me.
Now I have to hurry up and wait.
Thanks again
Habibi

The cable was listed as $4.99 from Cables to Go. Even with shipping it would not have come out to more than $10.
I really do hate Dell

the cord at cablestogo was my first option.
I tried to buy it from there first, even had it in "my cart"
Then I noticed it wasnt in stock for another 2 weeks or so, and they had a "$20 minimum order"
I was going to order some of those colourful tie downs to clean up wires and stuff (to get to the 20 bucks), but since the cord wasnt in stock, and I'm impatient, dell gets to have their way with me.
Regards
Habibi-
No surprise that the cable is out of stock..lots of dell and compaq notebooks out there with that connector :-)
Another place I occasionally get cables from (and has the adapter) is www.showmecables.com and search for 27400 (which is the item number). It does not say out of stock, but I haven't actually tried too hard to buy it.

Thanks!
Wish I saw that last night! lol
You know what burns my *** about Dell?
Ok, they are jacking me on the shipping, sending it purolator(sp), but if its being delivered by them, and I'm paying a heavy premium, then why does it take 7-10 days.
For what I'm paying for shipping, I would expect that stupid cable in 2 days tops.
Shrugs
