Does selling my self on the street corner count as owning a business?

After seeing you pic, biznaz must not be all that great.

I work full time, and have a side biz I'm trying to grow it and get out from being held down by the man...

I peddle information security products (firewalls, VPN crap, content filtering stuff, blah blah blah...). I also have a sweet-**** vulnerability assesment service. I don't miss consultings for big companies. The money was insane but the politics and rules were too much for me. Man kept trying to hold me down.

Anybody need some security products?

Own an auto/tk repair garage. Have 4 employee's and stay pretty busy.

It's a lot better then working for someone else.

Don't make the salary [cash] that I made working for someone else.....but have the long term benefits and being you're own boss with out some....JERK....telling you what to do,,,,well it makes the day and makes it feel like it's all for my own good and that it will continue to grow.

I sure hope so........................

My wife and I own a custom picture framing business. Both being degreed Industrial Designers, we bring a little different spin to the business. We enjoy the freedom on one hand, but are tied to the store six days a week. We need more traffic comming into the store so we can start to pay ourselves.

I'm taking a deep breath, going out on a limb and attempting to become a novelist/freelance writer.... it's scary - I have enough money to get by until next October if I don't have things up and running by then I'll have to go back to work for the man...

Great topics never die...
Green98, live about 10 miles out of town. I sell Max six wheel drive all terrain vehicles and do anything and everything that involves ATVs. One of these days I want to open a big Polaris dealership. It'll be a long way from Fulton though, which must be about the poorest town on the Missouri map.
