How do you read the spread for gambling?
Even though I'm not planning on doing any gambling, I've never stopped to figure out how the whole "spread" thing works in the betting world and who determines it?
For example I've found a web page that quotes the following:
Car Panthers
Spread +4
Total o36 1/2
Money +170
Phi Eagles
Spread -4
Total u36 1/2
Money -200
So what does all that mean and who decided that?
