Things to do in the winter months
I just finished snow blowing and plowing 35" of snow and now i can't tell if i even done it or not, the snow continues to fall as do the temps!!. Today while plowing i was not paying attention (16hr work day) and i drove the old plow truck went into a 7' ditch next to my driveway and had to be whinched out.
I am already bored and sick of winter and cold, snow etc... lets try and warm things up a bit.
What to do in winter to enjoy it so it becomes much more bearable
1 snowmobiling
2 hunting
3 stay on couch and or recliner
4 drink,smoke
5 go to warm places like botanical gardens
6 swiming at club
7 hibernate like a bear
8 snowblow,plow nasty snow.
9 look out window and think of warmer days ahead?
do you guys have anything better, i am all ears.
my pic in my sig shows a 78* day in november and man i wish it would come back if only for a day.

Ahh, winter sucks ***!
I remember in 1990 I was hired by the Dep't of Justice to work in Iqaluit, NWT.
Iqaluit is located about 2,000 kilometers north of Montreal and is capital city of the eastern arctic.
I asked my employer at the conclusion of the interview:
"So what kinds of activities are available up there?"
She answers with the glee of a grade 3 teacher:
"oh, there's
- cross country skiing
- snow shoeing
- hiking
- snowmobiling
- curling
So I'm going through the list in my head, and each one gets me a "screw that" reaction.
It was the only time in my life someone made (cross country skiing, snow-shoeing, and hiking) sound good.
Until you get up there, and you realize it's always -87 outside, and the real activities include working out every day, and then drinking your face off at the Legion, and then hitting on all the Eskimo women!
They look real nice after your 7th pint and a couple of Tequilas.
Winter sucks!

my brother lives in the catskills in n.y.s.
a few years back there was a car-wash on route 28 that had a junky car sitting on its property.
during the winter they ran a hose near the car and had it splash water on it.
we only drove by 3 times during the winter or so, but that little bit of water, towards the end turned into a whole mountain of ice that the car was burried under.
you could do that maybe.
picture the excitement of waking up every morning and running outside to see how much taller the ice mountain is getting. imagine thundering a big 'WAHOOOOO' as you measure the ice in the pre-dawn morning hours..
as an added 'gimme', you can measure as it melts during the spring time.
just a thought....

Worst thing about winter in Minnesota (other than having the Lightning is storage) is that al the women start wearing long dresses, baggy sweaters, BIG coats, thermal underwear and all that crap.
Can't wait for spring: burnoouts in the "L" and lots of bare legs, skin and skimpy tops!
