I think you should paint it more like a cobalt blue...

 

What tools did you use to obtain that result? I don't need a detailed explanation, but perhaps you can point me in the right direction?

Photoshop

Isolated just the body of the car

Go into Image/Adjustments/Hue and Saturation/ check Colorize

Slide Hue bar
Saturation bar

Smile at result


It could look a lot better if time spent on each area of the body for bightness and contrast and getting surrounging area to match....

But I don't have time....
