Thumbs up Good Guy Message

I know most of us have had both good and bad experiences with dealerships. I would like to say something about mine: Bay Area Ford in Houston (Clear Lake City), Texas.

MY 2003 KR SCrew is about 6 months old. The leather on the steering wheel and the center console really got dark and no amount of treating would help. Expecting an argument, I mentioned the problem at my last scheduled checkup.

The service dude (Jason Baisden) checked the leather on the drivers seat and on the console and wheel. He said he'd check with the interior guys and get back with me.

Bottom line: A little over two weeks later I have a new wheel and a new console top. No arguments. No delays. Nothing but good service. I know Jason did not do everything on his own, but his attitude reflects the attitude of the dealership and their treatment of their customers.

One more thing:

I have a great ford dealer as well.

Prestige Ford
Richlands Va.

I had a pinstripe on my old lariat that was slightly out of line and they replaced it, they also replaced several pinstripes on my old eddie bauer explorer when I had it in 96.

Every complaint I have ever had they fix it at once, they even replaced the rearend in my 96 explorer back in 99 and I had run out of warranty, they always provide a loaner car too.

I wish I could say the same for my Jeep dealer, that will be the last jeep I ever buy.

The dealer I go to now (Alan Ford) treats me pretty well also. I started going there with my 97 F150 even though I didn't buy it there, because 1) they listened to me explain the problem, and 2) they fixed the problem. The dealer I bought it from (Flannery Ford - now Suburban Ford) sucked so bad I wrote Ford a letter about how many times I required warrenty repairs, and how poorly I was treated there. Somehow, that dealer ended up buying the Truck back, so I got the 98 F150 there but never went back.
Service is the main reason you want to buy a vehical where they treat you right. Any moron can sell a vehical, but sometimes things go wrong, and how they treat you when things go wrong is what really counts. So when it was time to buy another Truck, I went to the place I recieved the best service. Mind you, I did shop around, and it turned out, I also got my best deal there too.

Yeah, I know where Elkhorn City is, it's nice country up there. I actually live in Pound, VA now, and it's like 5 minutes from the KY line.
