To bad they didn't stick to their original plan of the Lincoln LS platform. Oh well, at least it looks sweet

It is the Lincoln LS platform, its just a cheaper version with a solid axle.

Of course thats what I have heard.

I don't mean to argue or bastardize this thread, but....
Carroll Shelby had his hand in a couple cars BEFORE the GT500.
AC Cobra comes to mind (as well as others).
AND...
Great looking new Mustang!

Lincoln LS is a 4 wheel independant suspension. SLA up front (and the rear I think).

The new stang is a McPherson in the front and 3-link in the rear. Still it's way better then the previous models.

Thumbs down

I am extremely disappointed in Ford's design choice for this vehicle. I will not be purchasing a vehicle that looks as bad as this.... My 1993 Cobra has a better looking interior for pete's sake.
Not sure what Ford designers are smoking these days..

The Mustang sits on variation of the LS platform. The Cobra will have IRS. It will be aimed at competing with the BMW M-series vehicles. It is expected to have much more power from the factory than the current Cobra, also.

I still can't believe Ford approved this hideous thing. It makes me sick each time I see it. I am so disappointed.... There just aren't many good Ford products left out there.....

I'm just glad they got rid of the hideous fox-body Mustangs. All 25 years of it. I'm tired of seeing those fugly vehicles. One more year of those things, or anything that approached them in appearance, would have been beyond disgusting. There just aren't words enough to describe the horrid visual abuse I've endured over the last quarter century.

In case you haven't figured it out....

I LOVE THE NEW "STANGS!!!!!

What's wrong with this body style? I think the '75-'87 were hideous looking. '88-'93 was just a little better.
