What was your best and worst moments of 2003?
Some of you may not want to answer this because some of the things may be personal, and thats ok. Just wanted to share some of my best and worst moments.
My best moments:
-Graduating college
-Getting a girlfriend(long story)
My worst moments:
-Losing my job and not working for 3 months
-Taking a job at Walmart making half of what I did
-Losing my aforementioned girlfriend
Overall it was pretty much a horrible year and I hope 2004 turns out much better.

Good things of 2003:
Had a daughter!
Had a niece!
Got a Shar-pei!
Bad things of 2003:
Got almost deathly ill.
Lost three fiances (including my Baby Momma).
I agree with you, Paul, I was glad to see this year go, it just seemed like all year long, I had bad luck. Bring on 2004!

Best moments:
Positive thinking when having a bad moment !!!!
Worse moment:
Reduced to being small things because of the above.....
Having worked for the Japanese for some time, I can say that their idea of "problems are opportunities" is a good one to apply........

My worst moments
- Getting the call that my garage was on fire.
- Next call was the house caught too. I was worried about all the animals.
- Changing my name to previous one to get my taxes in order and discovering a 3 yr old ticket that suspended my license. This took 3 months and nearly $1,000 to fix.
- The city wrote me many tickets because of the fire. 1st one for not mowing the lawn after 2 weeks, 2nd one for not cleaning up the debris before the INS paid me any money. They bascialy treated me like some loser who refuses to maintain their property.
- The INS people were extremely stingy, and it was like pulling teeth to get anything out of them.
- After 6 weeks, I found out the mortgage company lost the check I sent them to endorse, and I had to request another one from the INS company.
- My F150's AC went out one month before the lease was up on my F150. (I didn't fix it)
- My F150 fuel pump went out one day before the lease was up on my F150. (I had to fix it)
- The credit union failed to take out a payment in Aug 02, and without notifying me, reported it on my credit report every month for a year.
- The same CU wouldn't put their mistake in writing so I could show Ford what happened.
- Same CU shredded the lease agreement before I could get a copy to show Ford I had previously leased a vehicle for an extra 1k rebate.
- Some loser got ahold of my old CC number, (I change them once a year for this very reason) and my bank approved of 1,500 in fruadulent transactions for merchandise sent overseas before noticing something was wrong.
My better moments
- The animals survived the fire, as did many of our household belongings.
- Buying my F250, and on the last day of many of the rebates.
- Anthony (Ford salesperson) making Ford credit take a look at my bank statements proving I made all but the one payment in 5 years.
- CU did write a note saying I leased the Truck and that they shredded the document.
- Judge reducing my driving on a suspended license ticket to driving without possesion of a license after hearing my lengthy story. The court costs were still $185, but no points.
- Thank goodness for my friend who got lazy, and had me do his job for him a lot this year. The extra $$ came in handy.
- Thank goodness my BF had his own house for us to stay in this summer. I would have never been able to afford the hotel bill.
- Thank goodness myself and my kids were all basicaly healthy.
All in all I am reminded of a saying "That which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger" and I keep telling myself that.
Bring on 2004!!!!

worst thing, i was a victim of credit card fraud for 600. i caught it on my statement and have gotten half back so far. best thing, which is kind of to the u of k community. louisville beat you again this year. seriously, another bad thing was the death of my aunt, but a good thing was that she put me in her will unexpectently for pretty good chunk of change. i never expected that. paid my sons college and paid off a car with some left over.for that i am thankful.another good thing is after 15 years,i still have a wonderful wife who puts up with my obsession with automobiles.

Worst:
Getting grounded for 6 months.
Struggling in one of my classes for the latter part of 2003.
Realizing my dad was never going to buy that King Ranch F150.
Best:
Spending the summer at my sister's house, having the time of my life with her family.
Having a boyfriend.
Breaking up with that boyfriend.
Sharing a class with a few guys I fancied.
Keeping in touch with good friends.
Going to Clearwater, Florida for Phillies Spring Training.
Um, this doesn't look right.
The good outweighing the bad?

Best:
Buying a new house in January
Selling a million dollar deal and expecting 7%
Being financially secure for the first time in years
getting a great new job with a large reputable hard to get hired into company
My "Daddies little girl" wasn't hurt in an accident she was in with my wife
Worst:
Losing my good job 4 months after buying my new house and getting screwed out of my 7% due to an un-ethical new CEO
Losing all of my financial security due to being un-employed for 6 months
My wife and 4 year old little girl were in a fairly minor car accident but the air bag blew my wife's right forearm into little pieces and ruining her business for the rest of the year and the first half of 04' and now because the lady who caused the accident changed her story we had to hire a lawyer to sue her and it will take us years to heal and get everything paid back
Let's all put our energy together and make 2004 kick a$$!!!
